Griggs, of Prince Edward County; William H. Ash, of Nottoway County; and Britton Baskervill Jr. (misspelled Baskerville in the caption), of Mecklenburg County. This photograph was published in Luther Porter Jackson's Negro Office-Holders in Virginia, 1865–1895 (1945).
