Watercolor Rendering of Poplar Forest Landscape
A watercolor painting renders the Poplar Forest landscape as it might have looked between 1810 and 1820. A circular carriage turnaround can be seen on the north side of the house, and a sunken bowling green bordered by flower beds or bushes is visible on the south side. The circular road surrounding the five-acre ornamental core of the estate was lined with paper mulberry trees.
